A little about us and the building we are in:
The Radio Room building is a recycled 1949 Texaco station that was built after the VanPort flood of 1948. The building’s last use was as a garbage service before sitting in decay for several years. In the interest of preserving some of the original look of Alberta, the structure was kept intact and now serves as the covered entry and main dining areas. You can clearly see the entryway and dining area windows in this photo:
Radio Room is owned by two lifelong friends and Eastside Portlanders; one of whom lived in Alberta as a youth. Their aim is to keep Radio Room a reflection of the energy and diversity this district is known for while also providing a unique space for all who appreciate comfort, good food and drink; and the culture, music and art of Portland at large.
