Djs Play Rock n’ Roll Records for You
Where do you go on a Sunday night when you wanna listen to cool music but you don’t want it to be too loud, and you don’t wanna dance or listen to anything but some good ol’ guitars, bass and drums?
Glad you asked.
Sundays is Four Revolutions Per Month night at Radio Room and it’s all about the Rock n’ Roll records. No, no, no – not, like, Dad Rock, or anything. We’re talking 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and some indie rock, too. R & B, Soul, Rocksteady, Girl Groups, Punk, Stoner rock, Progressive, Psychedelia, Garage rock… the good stuff.
A bit about our deejays:
PINK LADY :: British Invasion, Roots Country, Rockabilly, 70’s Punk and more.
Before joining us here at Radio Room, Dj Pink Lady hosted “the Rock Show” on KBOO for 2.5 years.
RNDM NOISE :: Dub, Rocksteady, Power Pop, Glam, Country, Surf, Tropicalia, Indie, Shoegaze and more.
Dj rndm noise has deejayed clubs and private events in such diverse places as San Antonio, Austin, Denver, Stockholm and NYC before landing at Radio Room. Rndm was music director of his college radio station and has 5,000+ lps & Cd’s + 2,500+ digital format albums.
LO-FI :: From Johnny Cash and Hasil Adkins to the Sonics and the Cramps and more.
Dj Lo-Fi plays with a garage rock meets country edge so expect some twang in your rock n’ roll. We like to call it “garage-country-punk meltdown”.
BABY LEMONADE :: Glam meets Soul meet Punk meets Girlgroups and more.
Aside from taking her name from a Syd Barrett song, Baby Lemonade is a vinyl purist who has dj’d all over Portland. Her personal tagline is “From the Boys to the Toys and everything in between”
